In recent years Fat Bikes have been gaining more and more popularity because how fun and versatile they are. They have also started evolving from regular steel frame and forks to a more aggresive trail geometry using aluminum, chromoly and carbon frames. Suspension has also been improving, even when some may find that this is not completely necessary. Now enter full suspension fat bikes that can offer the amazing traction of rigid fat bikes but with the agility of full suspension bikes.

Turner King Khan
One of the most popular ones. This fat bike is not cheap, though. Sells for around $6100 and that gives you a Rockshox Bluto fork and Fox Float Kashima CTD shock paired with Shimano XT brakes and SRAM XX1 drivetrain. The bike weights around 32 lbs.

Salsa is well known in the fat bike space for being one of the first ones to launch a bike in the segment. Starting at $3999, the Bucksaw isn’t on the inexpensive side. The entry level one comes with a GX 1×11 drivetrain, SRAM Guide R brakes, Rockshox Bluto RL fork and Monarch RT3 shock. Tires are Surly Nate 3.8. The bike also weights around 33 lbs on a large frame.

Foes is an american brand that only builds mountain bikes. Very little information is offered in their website, but the Mutz has an adjustable suspension from 5″ to 5.5″ and it weights 7.2 for a frame only.

Maxx is a German brand and the Huraxdax is their new full suspension fat bike that comes in three builds, for every budget.
The Pro build starts at around $3800, weights around 33 lbs and comes with a combination of Shimano SLX/XT drivetrain, Rockshox Bluto 120mm, Rockshox monarch RT3 shock, Shimano SLX brakes and Schwalbe Jumbo Jim 4.0 tires.

Alutech Fat Fanes
Just like the others, the Alutech comes with a Rockshox Bluto but matched with a Monarch RT3 shock, SRAM Guide brakes, DT Swiss rims, SRAM X0 drivetrain and Schwalbe Jumbo Jim 4″ tires.
